    My favourite part is that Ocean Marketing has one employe Paul C. Seriously, he must have decided that anyone he ever shook hands with or had coffee was an official associate.

    If that was the case then I’d be an associate of a senator, a premier, two mayors and the Dali Lama – I mean I’ve been to fundraisers and awareness gatherings that they presided over, so clearly they’re part of my “125 connections.”

    Seriously, meeting a person does not make them your freaking best friend.

    @mrzisawesome Basic customer service — even when the customer is a jerk, you have to be a smiling happy person. That’s the rule. The Ocean Marketing guy started being a jerk himself and in the process completely broke every rule of basic customer service. Not to mention, $10 off to new customers for the inconvenience but no discount to the people that had already paid (and were still waiting) is one of those “We already have your money and don’t care about you anymore.”

    @mrzisawesome I know, it was a little over the top, but at the same time he had multiple times to stop being such a dick, and even when Mike from PA messaged saying he wasn’t getting a booth he didn’t believe he was from penny-arcade then harassed them into doing this. I see it as his own fault, everything that happened.

    @mrzisawesome In a fast paced, digital society, there is no time for redemption. If you are found to be unworthy you are simply unworthy and the world moves on. That’s just the way of things.

    Frankly, I find it a little more disheartening when people who are clearly unworthy continue to succeed. Every company has that one guy who ruins every project he touches yet keeps his job. Every classroom has that kid that will never, ever understand the material but still graduates.

    @BREDComedy I know, but it doesn’t mean you can just ruin the guy’s life, right? When people suck at their jobs, they’re fired, not hated worldwide. That guy from Penny Arcade says he hates bullies, yet he doesn’t care that 1000s of bullies attacking Paul.

    I know he was dumb, but he doesn’t deserve this.

    @mrzisawesome its not just that it was a stupid PR move, they were disrespecting a customer who pre-ordered and gave him very little information and then was an asshole when they finally did. It’s about them being awful people, not about how they run a business. That’s why it was so great penny-arcade posted this, because they care about the people, and Ocean Marketing, clearly, does not.

    yeah the Nambla thing is a joke from South park over domain registration. This was a great parody though. The problem with it is he was the CEO (and only employee). He should have been coaching her as a new hire or something.

    The name ‘Ocean Marketing’ is so fitting. I’m sure he feels like he’s floating all alone in the middle of an ocean, with his company slowly sinking. I feel sorry for his wife who will probably bear the brunt of his frustration, in the form of two more black eyes.
